As a part of the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, MACUHO has created a Scholarship Program to help members defer the cost of its events. As a non-profit association, MACUHO's events and programs aim to offer high-quality information, networking, and connections at the lowest possible price. We also seek to solicit funds from members, sponsors, and donors to help defray the cost of our events. The Scholarship Program is another avenue MACUHO can offer to help extend its offerings to more people.
The Scholarship Program does have limited funding and may not be able to support every request it receives. Please read more below about the program and how you can apply for funds or donate funds.

What does the scholarship cover?
- For staff and faculty: The cost of early-bird event registration is covered for any individual who is awarded a MACUHO Scholarship.
- For undergraduate or graduate students: The cost of the student registration rate or lowest published registration rate is covered.
What responsibility does the scholarship applicant/awardee have?
- Individuals will be responsible for securing funding to cover meals that are not included with the registration fee, lodging, travel, and any other expenses aside from the registration fee.
- If a scholarship awardee changes institutions or regions after receiving the award, but before the event takes place, you are required to notify the scholarship program chair.
- Plan to give back to the association. Some examples of this are: Presenting a program session at the event you receive the scholarship for, getting involved in a MACUHO committee, and/or volunteering at the event you receive the scholarship for.
