Event Description of the Annual Social Justice Symposium:

The Social Justice Symposium, an annual MACUHO event, is intended to provide a space for professionals of historically marginalized identities and their allies to exchange lived experiences and share a space for dialogue. Through the Symposium, the MACUHO Social Transformation & Advocacy Committee is dedicated to cultivating these conversations for Student Affairs professionals at all levels. We will tackle a variety of social justice topics through the use of panels and symposium-style breakout sessions. Your voice is integral to these conversations as we guide one another through our experiences, delve into how our work impacts marginalized identities, and share best practices. Most importantly, we strive to authentically support one another and our students.

Although the Symposium’s primary audience is professionals, students are welcome to attend to gain insight from professionals! Details for the 2021 Social Justice Symposium will be released by Fall 2020.
