2020 Participant Application
 

Founded by Dr. Tom Ellett (NEACUHO) and Joanne Goldwater (MACUHO), The Regional Entry Level Institute (RELI) provides a unique 3-day cohort model experience for participants and faculty alike. The first such institute of its kind in the nation, RELI is intended to provide the skill set for entry-level professionals to successfully make the transition to mid-level positions. RELI is modeled in a similar fashion to ACUHO-I’s National Housing Training Institute. Alternating between hosting regions every-other-year, RELI provides competency-based sessions presented by seasoned professionals in the field as well as structured opportunities for mentorship and professional self-reflection.

RELI is not a conference; it is an intensive institute where the focus is on the success and growth of the participant. There are not general sessions or break-out spaces, instead each session is laser-focused on the ACUHO-I professional competency featured. This approach provided a concentrated dose of professional development that equips attendees with an advanced knowledge and skill set. RELI's goal is that this will set graduates apart from peers and enable them to move to mid-level positions with more ease. Plus, you'd be in great company: over 500 participants have graduate from the MACUHO/NEACUHO RELI experience since it's inception!

This year, RELI will be hosted in the MACUHO region at Stockton University in Atlantic City, NJ from May 27th- May 29th, 2020. The cost for selected participants for RELI is $300. This fee covers lodging, meals and space fees. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. RELI 2020 Participant applications are due on Friday, February 28th, 2020.  Selected participants for RELI 2020 will be notified on or about March 25th, 2020.

RELI PARTICIPANT CRITERIA

 

●     Entry-level staff (0-3 years full-time experience; Complex Director, Area Coordinator, Residence Director, etc. titles)

     Demographics/diversity relating to:

     Type of institution (public/private; rural, suburban, urban) and participant's role there

     Participant's Geographical Location (to ensure a split between MACUHO/NEACUHO representation)

     Type of earned degree

     Quality of responses relating to:

     What the applicant hopes to personally and professionally gain from attending RELI. Please feel free to elaborate upon your personally-held identities and how they impact your role as a student affairs professional.

     Where the applicants hopes to be in three years; five years; ten years in the field
