Posted By Christopher F. Ferraro, Sunday, February 9, 2014

Hello Delaware/Maryland!

Happy 2014! We wanted to start out the New Year by beginning to periodically send out a newsletter for happenings in our region as well as in MACUHO. Please check out our first issue!

Your Regional Coordinators,

Chris Ferraro & Tricia Walmsley

Meet Your Delaware/Maryland Regional Coordinators!

Tricia Walmsley - Mount St. Mary’s University

Hello Delaware and Maryland!

Happy 2014 and Spring semester! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are geared up for the start of the new semester. This email is twofold! I first wanted to take a second to introduce myself as the New Regional Coordinator for Maryland and Delaware! My name is Tricia Walmsley and I currently work at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. I moved back to this region a year ago after spending two years in South Carolina and am very excited to be "home” again! I am looking forward to working with the region in a variety of ways over the next several years! Chris and I have some ideas for this coming year but want to know what you want as well! Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me! I can be reached at walmsley@msmary.edu!

Chris Ferraro - Towson University

Greetings Delaware and Maryland!

I hope your Spring semesters and new year is off to a great start! I am excited to be returning as one of your Regional Coordinators for this year! For those of you I have not been able to connect with yet, I currently work at Towson University just North of Baltimore. I have been here 2.5 years working as a Residence Life Coordinator. I moved to Towson from the Northeast where I earned my Bachelors at UConn and my Masters at Springfield College in Massachusetts. Oddly enough, I am currently working on a second Masters now at Towson. I am looking forward to a great year for our region and welcome any ideas or questions you may have about MACUHO! Please email me at CFerraro@towson.edu. Stay tuned for upcoming events this Spring!

Job Hunting or Recruiting??

Check Out the Mid-Atlantic Placement Conference (MAPC)!

February 20-21, 2014

We have exciting information from the MAPC planning committee!

Please pass this on to colleagues and friends who will either be job searching or looking to fill a vacancy in their office this coming year!

Are you an employer looking to fill a critical staff vacancy?

Perhaps you’re a candidate looking to land a phenomenal Residence Life position for the coming academic year?

If either of these situations pertains to you, the Mid-Atlantic Placement Conference (MAPC) is the perfect opportunity for you!

For the past eighteen years, housing professionals in the Mid-Atlantic Region have taken advantage of one of the most accessible and cost-efficient recruiting and job placement opportunities. For the third year in a row, MAPC will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading, Pennsylvania. You will experience an outstanding two day placement conference for a fraction of the cost of those national conferences. You’ll meet a great number of employers seeking to find the right candidate to join their Res Life teams. You’ll find many qualified and talented candidates looking to embark on a new career opportunity. And for those "MAPC Rookies,” you’ll experience a placement conference in a relaxed environment among MACUHO colleagues and friends.

Online registration is open until THIS Thursday February 13, 2014.

Onsite registration will be available on Wednesday February 19, 2014.

For more on registration costs and hotel information please go to our website http://www.macuho.org/group/mapc.

Please let us know if you have questions!
